maus and night

The books Maus and Night were very similair because the both dealt with the topic of the Holocaust.  In both of the books you see how bad the Holocaust actually was and how wrong it was. In both books the main character loses someone close to them.  In Night the main character loses his dad and in Maus he loses his mom.  In Night the dad died because he was so tired he died of exhaustion.  In Maus the mom kills herself because of the Holocaust.   All these people were beiung torchured and killed just because they were Jewish and that is not okay.  In the Night the author was in the action.  The author is writing about there own personal experiences of the Holocaust and of the main camp called Auchwitz.  In Night you realize how hard it was to survive in Auchwitz or any other Nazi camp.  The book Maus is about a man writing a book about his fathers experiences in the Holocaust.  It focuses more on his childhood and dealing with the Holocaust.  I would say a big difference in the books is that Maus is a cartoon book and Night is not.  Maus makes it not as scary of a book to read while Night is basically reality of what the Holocaust really was and the brutalness of it all.  I would recomend reading both of these books because they both show the facts and events of the Holocaust in a different way and its good to see many different perspectives of the topic of the Holocaust.
